Slightly marked to the upper margin. Strur frame in good order with polish residues. Girl - loosley mounted on card only. Slight warping to the leaf with minor warping. Deep wear patch ro the top left. Mark on the girls forehead, not a crack but some material on the surface, tried to lightly remove to no avail. Marks to margins from previous framing. Siblings - not examined out of frame. No splits, very minor warping. The leaf has shifted slightly in the frame.

A Reuge Music Singing Bird Automaton, 2nd half 20th century , the wirework cage enclosing a bird on a perch, the base with floral swags on peg feet, marked to underside of base 29cm high Main spring is intact, the mechanism winds and runs. The bird sings and moves. Seems to be a little subdued on playing. The piece seems to have had an impact around the switch area and this does not seem to have any affect on the mechanism. With Non-Transferable Standard Ivory Exemption Declaration Number PMPFLBLN The top has warped and an internal inspection revealed that the board has also split. The tortoiseshell veneers are lifting in many areas, with some splits and minor losses. Some small losses, splits and lifting also to the ivory componenets. One button detached next to the escutcheon, the piece of metal retained inside. The lock is in place but there is not key.
